I am honored and excited to be included in the exhibition, at the Akron Art Museum organized by chief curator Ellen Rudolph.

I'm honored to have been invited by the amazing and talented Krista Tomorowitz to design and hand-paint a swatch of black silk as her first step in creating an American Old West-inspired garment. Krista guided me through the process of reverse dying the silk during an afternoon spent together at Cleveland's.
Krista designed and made a collection of garments from silks painted by seven artists and presented them in the beautiful exhibition,, on view at Praxis from December 1, 2017 - January 26, 2018.

I took a leap of faith and signed a lease on a new studio in the Bendix Building in downtown Los Angeles. The studio is on the 9th floor and has great views of the city skyline, Santa Monica mountains in one direction and San Gabriel mountains in another. I am excited to get things going.
I'm happy to be showing new works alongside fellow Minnesota native, Stacy Wendt. We're both serving as community artists in residence at ESXLA, a unique living arrangement that meshes daily life and art alongside artists coming and going from all corners of the earth. The creative hive interrupts tunnel vision and shifts habits, and makes space for new ways of seeing and making. Our recent paintings were made in this spirit.
A cameo at the opening reception of echo in the half-light at K. Imperial in San Francisco. The new paintings grew from contemplations of an uncertain time and the color and light of new surroundings.
I'm honored to present the solo exhibition, echo in the half-light, atin San Francisco. The show features new paintings produced in the last several months during an artist residency at Eastside International in Los Angeles.
A big thank you to owner Karen Imperial and director Monica La Staiti for all their support in making this show a possibility.

I feel like I've never worked so hard for an opportunity as I did for this one. I am very grateful to be back atfor a six-month role as community artist in residence (CAIR). This organization is run by the most supportive people, director Jason Ramos and director emeritus Michelle Carla Handel. I'm joining fellow CAIR Stacy Wendt who has been sailing the ship for the last few months.
During my residency, I will be helping with the organization's daily operations, getting back in touch with the LA arts community, and making new works.

After holing up in my studio over the summer, I'm bringing out the new work for a solo show at. Big thank you to gallery director Lauren Davies for her enormous support.
The title of the show, Flickering Sky, refers to that unease we feel as the storm approaches, a sense of not knowing, moments of becoming that sometimes never arrive.
